Immediate Opening – Alderman, Ward 1

The City of Reeds Spring is seeking a dedicated resident to fill an immediate opening for the position of Alderman, Ward 1.

Ward 1 includes residents living west and south of Highway 413 (Main Street). The selected individual will serve the remainder of the current term through April 2027.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

Be a resident and citizen of the City of Reeds Spring for a minimum of one (1) year.
Be able to successfully pass a background check.
Have a desire to serve the community and help guide the future of Reeds Spring.

Serving as an Alderman is an opportunity to represent your neighbors, participate in important city decisions, and make a positive impact on our community.

Residents interested in being considered for appointment are encouraged to submit a letter of interest or contact City Hall for additional information.

The City of Reeds Spring also has a new app that can be downloaded via the your app store. It is going to be used for resident notifications and emergency alerts.

To help everyone enjoy a safe and festive holiday, fireworks may be discharged from July 1st through July 4th during the following hours:

  • July 1st – July 3rd: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM

  • July 4th: 9:00 AM to Midnight

We encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly and be mindful of your neighbors and pets. Let's come together to make this 4th of July a fun, safe, and memorable experience for all!​

LEGAL NOTICE FOR APRIL GENERAL ELECTION: Notice of offices to be filled with the City of Reeds Spring will be posted in the Crane Chronicle. It is currently posted at City Hall. First day to file a declaration of candidacy at City Hall is 12/9/25 @ 8am and last day is 12/30/25 @ 5pm.
