Due to expected severe cold weather conditions from January 23 through January 25, 2026, including the potential for ice, snow, and power outages, the City of Reeds Spring would like to remind all residents to take the following precautions to help keep yourself, your family, and our community safe:
Protect Your Pipes
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
• Let faucets drip slightly to help prevent freezing
• Filling pitchers, buckets, or a bathtub with water is a good way to have water in an emergency.
Outdoor Water Protection
• Disconnect and drain all outdoor hoses
• Shut off and secure outside faucets if possible
Street Safety
• Please avoid parking on city streets so our crews can safely plow and maintain roadways
City Hall Hours
• Before visiting City Hall, please verify we are open by checking our Facebook page or calling 417-272-3309
Care for Outdoor Animals
• Ensure pets and livestock have adequate shelter, warmth, and protection from bitter cold temperatures
Travel Safety
• Please be extremely cautious if traveling
• If possible, stay indoors and avoid unnecessary trips during severe weather
The snow plow route can be found on the city's website
Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe. Thank you for doing your part, and please continue to monitor local updates.
Stay warm and stay safe,
City of Reeds Spring
