CORS Drinking Water Notice

The City of Reeds Spring would like to share an important notice regarding our drinking water system and lead service line notifications.

The City did not meet a state reporting requirement to certify that required notifications about service lines containing lead, galvanized pipe requiring replacement (GRR), or unknown materials had been provided to affected customers by July 1, 2025.

What does this mean for you?

✅ The reporting violation does not create a risk to public health.

✅ No immediate action is required, and you do not need to boil your water.

✅ Remember: Boiling water does not remove lead.

What is the City doing?

We are actively updating our Lead Service Line Inventory and identifying the materials used in service lines. We are also working to ensure the required notifications are distributed and properly certified to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
